We have begun selling apartments in the Mlynská bašta project in Košice
The Mlynská bašta project that will rise up in the centre of Košice, on the corner of the Továrenská and Štefánikova streets, will bring 134 one- to four-bedroom apartments in two apartment buildings. The sale was started today in cooperation with the project’s retailer, XX REAL Košice.
The Mlynská bašta project represents a link between modern, high-quality housing and a location affording the interesting history in Košice’s Old Town. The 134 apartments, in a design of extraordinarily high quality, will rise up on the site of a protected urban conservation area. The historical building of Mlynská bašta is situated right amid apartment houses.
The sale of apartments was launched today, with special promotional prices offered until the end of August this year. The complete price list can be found at http://mlynskabaska.sk/cennik-bytov.
The floor space of one- to four-room apartments ranges from 34 m2 up to 115 m2 for the largest apartment. Each apartment has a balcony, loggia or terrace. The project will be built to the highest energy standard A1, something no other new construction in Košice has yet achieved. Parking places are located below the apartment buildings in a sheltered exterior or underground garage. A comprehensive real estate agency service for the project is provided by XX REAL Košice, including the mortgage advice services under the brand Hypocentrum. “We are glad to be part of a project where the developer no longer “simply builds apartments”, but is sensitive in reconstructing monuments, making them available for the future generations,” says Ing. Ján Gondžur, manager of the real estate agency XX REAL Košice, a partner of the sales.
Last summer the Cresco Group bought the land around Mlynská bašta from the previous owner. “We believe that Košice residents will appreciate the Mlynská bašta project, both as our clients, future apartment owners, as well as people daily passing the neglected site concealed behind a corrugated fence, maybe unaware what national cultural monument is hidden there. An extraordinarily appealing location in the centre, timeless architecture and high quality design are the key attributes of the project that is to lift up this precious location in the Old Town,” adds Ján Krnáč, executive director of the Cresco Group.
After years of dilapidation in the inaccessible and fenced-off area, the surroundings of Mlynská bašta will finally return to life. The historic buildings will undergo reconstruction and become part of the life of Mlynská bašta’s residents. The area will also be made accessible to all Košice inhabitants and visitors to the city. The final appearance and function of the historical buildings, following reconstruction, will be a result of close cooperation between the local organisations and the Regional Monuments Office in Košice.
The Mlynská bašta project is currently in the process of receiving building permission. We wish to start construction in autumn this year. The construction is scheduled for 24 months, with completion of apartment buildings and their occupation approval in the second half of 2018.
