Slnečnice Nad mestom’s construction started this June and will include the area’s first high-rise buildings, at the same time the second wave of sales for high-rise buildings has been launched.

The first part of the new 14,000 sqm Joseph Popper Park in Slnečnice opened in June. The park - which has a wide range of leisure and sports options - will eventually cover 58,000 sqm, making it the second largest park in Petržalka after Janko Kráľ. We have so far invested EUR 3.4 million in the park.

Our largest project, Slnečnice, was awarded at the national Building of the Year competition (broadcast live on STV2 on March 22). The second part of the third stage of the Villadomy Zone (Villa-Houses Zone) was placed first in the category apartment/family building of the year. A professional jury - comprising architecture and construction experts, with representatives from the public, academic and private sectors - evaluated technical documentation and conducted on-site inspections of projects.

Future owners of the new 1,500 flats and 42 apartments in the new Slnečnice Nad mestom residential project will be able to enjoy unique views of Bratislava as well as the proximity of a park. We are launching the sale of the first 165 flats in the largest and highest part of Slnečnice so far. Slnečnice, the largest new residential development in Bratislava, will thus grow by five residential high-rise buildings and three lower residential buildings. There will also be open courtyards with greenery where neighbours can spend their free time. Life in Slnečnice will be greener also thanks to the public park, which will be the second park in Slnečnice and with its 29,000 m2 the second largest in Petržalka city district.

This September we joined the Slovak Green Building Council (SKGB). In so doing, we join dozens of likeminded members united by a common vision of sustainable construction in Slovakia. Like all segments of the economy, the construction industry contributes to CO2 emissions. Only through joint efforts can we reduce our carbon footprint, and meet the EU's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 - our new internal working group will focus on the use of green technologies in our projects.
